Hello. This website is a collection of interests and thoughts, hastily thrown together and only very occasionally revised.

Its origins date back to when I was a law student with rather more free time on my hands - a fact testified to by the considerably reduced number of updates.

I am from rural Renfrewshire in Scotland, currently live in Edinburgh and work in politics. Interests include the built environment, constitutional law, local democracy, design and the occasional book.

The site has always been a tad shambolic in its presentation and content. It will remain that way. Due to time constraints, articles are often rather slap-dash and often fail to give the breadth that a subject is due. Again, this will remain the case, on the presumption that producing something of questionable value is better than producing nothing.

I can be reached by email at david at davidgardiner dot co dot uk.

Warm regards,
